We aren't talking about the Golden Gate Bridge, here. But we DO help patients by creating a dental bridge that replaces one or more missing teeth. We fill in the gaps to help you restore both functionality and appearance. (For example: eating is easier and smiling is more enjoyable!)
Dr. Birch can help patients with missing teeth by providing a comprehensive examination and consultation to determine the most suitable treatment plan. Using his expertise in restorative dentistry, Dr. Birch can custom design and place a dental bridge that fits comfortably and seamlessly, helping patients regain their confidence in their smile and overall oral health.
But not all bridges are the same. There are different types of bridges:
- Traditional bridges: This is probably the most common type, and involves creating a crown for the tooth or implant on either side of the missing tooth. An artificial tooth is between them.
- Cantilever bridges: These are used when there are adjacent teeth on only one side of the missing tooth.
- Maryland bridges: These bridges consist of a metal or porcelain framework that is bonded to the back of the adjacent teeth, with an artificial tooth attached in between.
- Implant-supported bridges: These bridges are secured to dental implants that are surgically placed into the jawbone by a specialist, providing a stable and long-lasting solution. Dr. Birch works closely with a specialist to ensure the success of this option.
Dr. Birch can assess each patient's unique situation and recommend the most suitable type of bridge. Dr. Birch understands that every patient has their own goals for their teeth and can help you find the best option for a great smile!
